Frank O. Gehry

.....Admittedly, architecture must first address questions and problems of function.  While accepting this principle as given, I equally recognize that the notable works in any and every medium have always existed on many other levels as well.   It is these levels beyond function that not only allow architecture to maximize its possibilities, but also allow a society to use architecture as the one means by which it expresses individual and collective consciousness.
