This mural for a nursery was derived from a 1843 map of the heavens.  The stars and their intensities are expressed and depict the sky that Kara was born under.  The Pliedes ironically hovered above the changing table.  The scalloping of the clouds against the deep blue of the night sky help shape the room in a magical way.

Southeast Corner

Starting at the Southeast corner and ending on itself is the nursery rhyme 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.'  The 101 stars and several hundred letters were hand stenciled onto the ceiling and walls.  The golden stars glow in the light generated from a night light.
