Puder Tey Residence          Villanova, Pennsylvania
Under Construction

This project called for an addition to a contemporary styled home on a four acre site.  The new wing, departing from the old style, has a more modern aesthetic.

The gently sloped copper roof directs water into gardens below.

Looking back to the new wing from the rear yard, one can see the sweeping roof lines both mimicking the slope of the landscape and and the existing roof.

A new terrace nestled between the old and new wings serves as an outdoor room focused on the landscape beyond.

Again the lines of the roof serve to draw one into the landscape.  The generous overhangs block the hot summer sun.

The every day entry to the home and hall of the new wing has a moss green slate floor.  This space links many rooms but mostly draw ones attention through the addition to the landscape beyond.

The master bath combines soft tones of beiges, browns and whites to evoke a Zen state of mind.

Custom made cabinets set up a his and her arrangement.  Plenty of immediate storage keeps the counter uncluttered.

The "blue" powder room is draped with glass tile.  A 10' x 2' mirror set between the two shades of blue tile draws ones eyes to the light monitor above.  Still to come, a beautiful glass pendant will complete the room.

The vanity with its engineered quartz counter top and black stained cabinetry sits below the light monitor.  Natural light washes down into the space and draws ones attention up to the tree tops framed in a window reflected in the mirror.

Even the laundry takes advantage of the surrounding landscape and natural light.  The choice of a front loading washer and dryer leaves way for a broad counter used for cleaning, rinsing and folding.

With closer examination the Possini light in the hall provides an interesting reflection of the space it inhabits.
